Mine did that too...until I realized that my amp was not on. Simple fix, but it really looped me for a few minutes. You may need to go into the UMC setup menus and make sure the audio pathways are setup correctly.

Ok, first do a load default on the unit and see if that resolves the issue. If that does not resolve the issue, then more than likely the DSP flash didn't get loaded properly and the decoders don't know what they should be doing. If this is the case, then I am sorry to say that you will need to run through the update procedure again and this should get it.

I had the same problem, amp triggers correctly set up, but NO sound. I just re-ran the update and it was fine the second time.

Hey lonnie it looks like some people are loading corrupted files and a redo helps some of them. Im just curious to know if when you start sending umc's to people that you update in franklin are you going to check them to make sure they dont get corrupted there too? If the answer is yes,how thorough of a test will you be putting them through? Thanks

My experience as well: No Sound, then re-ran update and sound worked again----of course having sound return just led me to discover lots of other problems!

Okay, I'm watching human target on fox. Every commercial break I experience total loss or loss of front channel sound! I have to sometimes change the channel 6 or more times to get sound to return.
I was a very happy camper with V5. V6 is a real let down for me. I have placed a call to Emotiva but they were closed so I will hopefully talk to them tomorrow.
Someone's got to let us know what's going on?
