Hello,
I was wondering if everyone here that has the umc-1, has to have the umc-1 on in order to view your tv. I use HDMI to connect from my dish 722 to UMC to my tv.
I swear I used to be able to just turn on my tv and dish network and was able to use the internal speakers of the tv without turning on the whole surround system.
I have changed out so many cables and things I cant remember! I just need to know if this is a bug of the new firmware or a bug in my brain ;D
I know i could do it with my denon setup, but that wasnt using hdmi.
Thank you!

Almost positive I saw this a few months ago, and Lonnie said you had to have the unit on. There was no passthrough when the unit was in standby.
