Hi all I just recieved the UMC-1. I have several issues, but the first is that remotes of the UMC and USP interfere with each other. Any work-around about this? I have awaited support reply from Emotiva in two days now... ... Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend. Regards, Martin - Denmark

If you have both UMC and USP, emotiva should ship you a new remote that removes the interference. Exactly when that will happen remains to be seen.

I have a Harmony One remote. Any possibility at this point to program with HEX or anything? I don't believe there is a solution at the present time. My understanding is that along with the new remote will be a firmware update for UMC-1 to change the codes to work with the new remote. Not only do we not have any idea when the new remote and new codes will be shipped, I worry that this will be a major SNAFU for everyone that uses a Harmony (like me and you). I can't imagine that it will make sense for Logitech to maintain two separate sets of codes for the UMC-1. To use the Harmony with the new codes, I assume we will have to add the codes manually. My current solution is to cover the IR receiver of the USP-1 so that the Harmony controls only the UMC-1. I don't mind manually controlling the USP-1. In fact, it seems more natural since 2-channel audio feels like the dark ages compared to Blu-ray.

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately all my equipment is hidden away, why manual operation is impossible.... NB: To me stereo still sounds better than the best bluray or multi channel stereo..

I just got a USP-1 2nd hand as I needed a phono preamp for my 2 channel setup, having said that I also thought of integrating the USP with the UMC, I have a harmony one that I intended to use with the UMC but I guess going the USP route will mean I have to cover the remote sensor on the USP too. or leave them in my other room for 2 channel and move the TT out of the HT area.

I just took the USP out the equation for now. The UMC actually surprises me in stereo... sounds damn good for a surround processor.. looking forward to the remote update though, as the USP clearly sounds better in stereo....

I did this as well as I've been totally/pleasantly surprised at the analog sound of the UMC-1. The USP-1 now goes to the computer room for two channel duty.
