Early Tuesday afternoon FW file

Here me out on this. I am doing everything in my power to avoid shipping my unit back. The one idea I keep falling back on is this.

My DSP 1 flashes fine. I think my issue actually is inside the firmware. If I remember correctly early Tuesday in the afternoon when the V6 FW went public the original file name and info were this (also listed like this in the instruction PDF screenshots)

UMC-1_v6_02_04_20100413.upg
Version 6.02.01
Data length 1622039
date 4/10/10

now the file I have is
UMC-1_v6_02_04_20100413
version 6.02.04
data length 1622021

notice that the version, data length and dates are all different. Could this be the problem?? It's the last thing I can think of.

If anyone has the original file listed above dated 4/10 or ver 6.02.01 please email it to me and I will experiment and see what happens.

Forget it. I'm sending it back. This is crazy having to deal with this. Granted, it might be user error but I highly doubt it. I have tried everything--different computers, USB cables, safe mode, safe mode/networking, XP and windows 7.

Should be interesting to see how long it takes to get it back and whether it works right or not. I keep getting told by EMO that their unit in house works but when I talked to Vince EMO doesn't have either sat or cable in their theatre. Hopefully whoever is beta testing these had sat or cable or any of the other things that we are having issues with.

you are correct the Ver in the instructions and the file that has been down loaded are different....

Has anybody elso noticed this?? It probably doesn't matter since dan and Lonnie are saying there's issues anyway with v6. Just wanted to see if the 2 different files would make any difference.
