From the instructions: l. The unit will cycle this loading message in the display several times. m. The unit will then momentarily shut down and power back up on its own.
This did not happen on my unit, and I know I've seen several posts stating the same. I'm wondering if anyone actually had this occur and if it correlates to the units having problems.

I had the same thing with mine. If you look at the video Lonnie just posted, his did not do that either, so apparently that auto reboot doesn't have to happen. The only other thing I noticed is that after installing the SECOND program, Lonnie did a restore to default. The instructions do not say to do this. The instructions say that the machine will being to reboot and do a reset, but in the video it does not do that. Lonnie says in the video that it may do it on some machines, but on others it may not. The main thing for me is that he restored the defaults after the 2nd step and that is missing from the instructions. I need to go home and try doing it like he did in the video. My results were exactly like his, except I didn't restore the defaults after file #2 was done.

I noticed this also and I am going to go and try the same thing... From reading the instruction I thought that the UMC-1 would shutdown and do a restart.... not for us to do a factory reset
