Hello Everyone,
I just dropped off my ERC-1 at Emotiva today.
I have a CD in it that will not eject.
I bought this particular CD online (not a ripped CD,etc.)
so I'm not sure why it will not eject.
I talked to Nick several weeks ago and he suggested unplugging the unit for several hours to see if that resolves
the issue. I tried this several times over several days but the CD
still would not eject.
I also mentioned to Nick about the "clipping" issue. My player does indeed not play the first second or so of a CD. I really did not notice it until I read about it on this forum and started paying attention. The fact is; this player sounds so good it just makes you smile everytime you use it. I wonder how it sounds so good
and costs so little!
When I dropped off the unit today, I was again reminded how nice and courteous the Emo staff is. Very kind and helpful.
A guy named Chris seemed surprised the player would not eject. He seemed to think it would be a quick fix and mentioned a couple of possible problems. He also mentioned the reason
the player clips is due to a "timing" issue. He sounded confident that they could fix both problems.
At first I thought Emotiva had moved. In fact they did move..., to the building right next door! I saw Dan Laufman talking to a couple of ladies in front of the "old" building so I'm guessing they still are "in" that building too. It now has a new sign on the building and name on it but I cannot remember the name (sorry). I'm guessing they just needed more space?
I hope to get my ERC-1 back soon. There is a big difference between it and my new IPOD (my first ever) and my old Pioneer Elite player.
Whenever I listen to a CD in the ERC, it just makes me smile.
What better endorsement can a person give?
God Bless,
Brian
