Have a LCD TV (Samsung M81) that has worked fine with my HTPC (C2D with ATI5450) for past few years. The UMC-1 works fine with it even with bitstreaming, except I can't seem to get 1:1 pixel matching with the TV.
The HTPC will detect the UMC-1 as a 'AV Processor' and output 1080p 60hz. UMC-1 detects it as 1080p input via Auto.
But what I see on the TV is black borders surrounding all 4 sides of the image which is centered. No issue with the image otherwise. TV is set to 'Just Scan' which is ideal for PC input.
Any advice?

I had this happen with a Denon AVR-3310ci. Ultimately, I think I gave up on it. I think there was a setting or two that got it to stretch out some, but not to the screen filling it was when direct-attached. I think once I had it working, but I really can't recall. I guess all I can say is that I've seen it, as well, and didn't really find a solution.

I can stretch it by setting to 16:9 on the TV, but text looks blurry that way as its stretched. Am thinking the UMC-1 does something to my signal which made it that way.. somehow passthrough fails to give me a lock on the signal, and setting it on 1080p60hz does not help. of course, this could just be some overscan setting somewhere that i've missed - maybe on the card.. will explore some more.

Just to update, it was indeed some card setting. UMC-1 has no issues on this.

It's something like "switch overscan on to switch it off" Had to do that on my Mac mini but haven't had the time yet to dig any deeper.
