I've been playing SACDs through HDMI on my OPPO BDP83 since I got the UMC-1. Everything worked fine until last night when I turned the projector on to do some menu stuff while playing a M/C SACD and the UMC-1 started going through audio dropouts (HDMI video handshaking, I would think).
While I would prefer to use HDMI so that I can eliminate some cabling, it looks like I will have to go back to M/C analog until the HDMI audio dropouts are fixed.
Has anyone set up a 2nd input for their OPPO (OPPO-SACD as opposed to OPPO Movie) as a distinct input with no video selected for SACD only using 7.1 analog audio? If so, how has it worked out? Thanks.

That's how I have mine configured on the UMC. You will also then have the option of DSD if using the 7.1 which I prefer myself. No problems at all with drop outs.

Sounds good. Time to dig out the analog cable nest of snakes.
