I'm still on my quest for great analog sound. People have mentioned the upcoming XSP-1 and suggested I wait for it. I can't seem to find what features it will have. Those that know, please help me out.
While I've been looking, I have found a very interesting piece -- the P7 by Parasound in their Halo series. It is an analog only pre with no digital or video inputs at all. The thing that makes it unusual is that is has 2 multi-channel inputs -- so need to use HDMI and experience that headache (if you have a good player -- I have the Oppo 83 Special Edition). The P7 is supposed to be a music lover's dream with the capability of home theater too.
So, my question is -- what is coming with the XSP-1? I love the Emotiva philosophy, and their dedication to quality and customer service -- so I want to see if the XSP-1 is worth me waiting for it.
I know the USP-1 integrates well with a home theater system, it has just come down to me missing the tone controls -- I would like to be able to make some SLIGHT adjustments. I know there are audio purist who wince at the thought -- it is all in what you are used to.
So, if anyone can sup up what the XSP-1 is gonna do, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
