Does anyone have any experience with this? Gefen or Sony product? Others?

I played with a Gefen and it seemed to work well within 10 feet or so. It was passing a 1080P signal without a problem
Once we moved it farther out the video began to glitch. I believe it depends greatly on how much RF interference may be in your home. In this instance there was a very high number of wireless devices.

If you don't mind me asking, is there a reason your trying to go wireless? To have HDMI to spare bedrooms and patio without long cable runs and to share HD boxes without having to lease 6 of them. It's also a pain when you have wall mounted TV's and the HD box is the size of a briefcase.... Not sure I would do it, the Sony gets decent reviews and it Like $300 bucks........ Just posing the question.........

Whats worse now is they have taken away all the expanded basic channels so now you need a little converter box for TV's that don't have HD boxes. You put the box on and you loose the terrestrial HD channels and all the channels look like crap. Arrhhh.... Just ordered one of these for my basement. I have 3 TV's down there so I'm gonna split the signal so I don't have to rent HD boxes for all of them. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00263D7A4/ref=oss_product
