I looked in the Rev 2 manual and also searched the forums and couldn't find anything on where exactly to place the microphone and what orientation it should be in.
Now I would assume it 'should' be with the mic pointing up at ear level in the main listening position.
BUT, I am guessing there are various schools of thought on this so that might be why EMO-Q seems better for some than others.
Lonnie can you please address this in the manual at the very least and also maybe do a EMO-TV segment. Also explain this in the forums for those that want to give EMO-Q a go or that maybe have and it didnt work well. Picures with the orientation for the mic are a must.

Watch Big Dan's EMOTV presentation of EmoQ. Discusses that.

+1 on the Emo-Q video...But, based on that, typical setup is on the back of your chair/sofa/seating at your listening position and -slightly- tilted towards the front. Also, stay out of the way during the process; I stand behind my surround speakers to try to cause as little interference as possible!
