I finally received my UMC-1 yesterday and I am very pleased with the product. The sound is much cleaner and the lower nose level really shows. This is my first receiver upgrade in 5 years. I am currently using my Pioneer 1015TK (THX) receiver amp to drive the speakers. I assumed since I currently do not have the amp yet, that the deference would be small. I was wrong. Everything is much clearly and the combination actually allows me to drive my amp/speakers loader.
I will have the amp next month, but so far so good. I ran across the power down issue twice and HDMI lock on issue twice, but it still works 95% of the time without issue. I will wait maybe even until the final firmware is available before I update the software. This product is well engineered and a lot of thought has gone into its design where it counts, usage and performance. ;D
