Wow, some deals to had here this weekend........
Or, have sales been kind of sluggish, hence the blowout? It seems most guys around here want monster output and musicality.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems these two subs have had a decent response and reviews to their abilities, but nothing like the other Emo stuff.
But two Ultra 12's for $800.00...... Not bad, not bad at all.....
I'm remodeling my kitchen right now, ughhhhh.

The problem with subs is as long as your's is working, you don't really think about it. I would love to replace my Atlantic Technology subwoofer, but I can't justify it. Besides, I'm saving for 55" TV.
Great sale though!

Could it be that the ERS subs are near? Some wishful thinking I know.

I think most are waiting for the ERS offerings, based on what I've read. I thought the Ultra-10 was a great little sub. But it just didn't have enough output for a 1800 cu ft room for my tatses and my wife doesn't want multiple subs in the living room. I intended to get a second.
For a smaller listening room, I think either of the Ultras will fare very well. They're quite "musical", as long as you don't try to push them too hard trying to get huge output in a big room.
Just my $.02, after auditioning one for 12 days. If I had the disposable income, I'd have kept it for my workout room (10'x10') and built a 2-channel system there.

I want a monster blow out! I hope my neighbors hate me. While the Ultra 10's may be great. I don' t think I'm going to have an eviction party with them

I think that is a great offer. I would purchase 2 Ultra 10' subs for 299 each without to many thoughts, but unfortunately no signs of the 220 Volt versions of the subs yet. Too bad.

I was waiting on the ERS but decided to go for the Ultra 12 in the interim. I remember that Emotiva delayed the Ultra product as it originally did not meet their expectations in sound performance, reworking it until they were personally satisfied and I admire those manufacturing ethics. I am looking forward to the arrival of this product to its new home.

ERS? Looks like it's been in talks for 2 years. And ETA on this?
I don't like the fact that the ultras are so light and do not get down below 20hz.

No doubt that $399 is a bargain, but I just can't get myself over the sub's light weight. My JBL 8400 weights 66lbs, and is rock solid. I had an older Infinity 10" sub a few years back that was quite light, and eventually had to use two sided tape on the feet to keep it from walking out of place. I'd even consider given them a try, but my HT won't be done for about three more months.

G-Money, dont be too worried about lightness. This sub weighs in at 38lbs, where SVSs' PB-12 Plus only weighs 40lbs.
I dont hear anyone complaining about that sub lol!

combos99 - I think you're right about the weight thing. It was more of a hang up in my mind. In fact, I couldn't stand it anymore and pulled the trigger on two of 'em yesterday......the're on the way! ;D
Just too good of a deal to at least give them a shot. This way I can easily A/B them right next to my current JBL's and see how they stack up. First EMO purchase, and I think I'm going to be pleasantly surprised.

I received my refund today in the mail. I have to say, I was already impressed with the service of the company and quality of Emotiva products. This just solidifies my decision to buy a UMC-1 and XPA-5 in the near future. Thanks!
