I'll be showing off my OB speakers and will welcome criticism and suggestions for improvements. Feel free to bring equipment that you own or have built. Let me know if you're going to do that so that I can update the agenda in this post.
Bring your favorite CDs and movies to audition. If you have a quality CD player and/or DVD player please bring that also if possible since I have only the PS3 and the remotes on those are very finicky. I'm using an LMC-1 as a processor and I have not hooked up the HDMI switch to it as yet. I use the optical connector for audio and I plug in the HDMI cable directly into the TV for picture.
If someone has an XPA-5 and would like to compare it with the IPS-1, that will also be welcome and interesting.
I'll PM my address and phone numbers to attending members.

Crap... I just did a quick check of Basking Ridge NJ & I'm 2 hours away from you. 4 hours round trip. Take a lot of pics please. I've got a graduation to go to that day and might not be able to make it. Mr.Ben should bring down his DAC. Also Wideawake I thought you were getting an Oppo BDP83. Ok! Can I get those who are interested in attending the NJ GTG to provide me with a few weekends that will work for them? Then we can pick one that suits all.

I can fold down the back seat and you can sleep from here to Jersey and back again. So far, Nick and I are in, and we will bring Nick's Oppo instead of mine. PS...as per Wideawake's request , I will also bring some BluRays including "The Hulk" PPS....Nick & I may have another engagement on the 17th. We are checking the date for confirmation. |

I'm tentative still because I have to figure out what else is going on with my family but as soon as things firm up I'll let you know. Also too be careful if soulrider or Mr.Ben bring an Aleph 5. I borrowed an Aleph J clone which is decended from the Aleph 3 (Aleph 5's little bro) and man it sounds NICE. The only drawback was it draws 270 watts from the socket and requires @ least an hour of warm up time. If you like the sound the A5 produces from your speakers your utility company will love you. A pair of Aleph mono blocks I remember drew 500 watts each.
Maybe Barry can bring his Threshold stasis if he still has it.
If I make it I'll bring some vintage Audio Alchemy DACs I was able to acquire.

I mentioned to my wife that July 17th is a no-go and she committed to another engagement for that weekend. :-( Barry, is July 24th absolutely out for you or can you rearrange your calendar to attend?
