I have an HSU STF-2 Sub which is an excellent sub. But the fuse keeps blowing when I turn the power on no matter if I am using an APC surge protector or the wall outlet.
Am I right to assume that the problem lies in the sub-woofer itself and not else where?
I am ready to buy one of Emotiva's sub (great sales price) ???but I rather not have to spend the money if I can get the STF to work.
Thanks
Brooke

I would suggest you post in the Hsu forum or just write or call them. Pete Hsu is very good about responding quickly.

I sent an email to HSU and they told me to send the amplifier unit back to them (they instructed me to unscrew all sorts of things and disconnect wires and etc.). Service runs between $80 to $120 plus shipping. Doing a cost benefit analysis, it just makes sense to buy a new one. So, I will go shopping today for a new one here. I was hopping that my next audio related purchase would be the CD player but that will have to wait.
