My sub cable is going to be delivered in a few hours, but I don't know how to get everything hooked (cd player, pre-amp, amp, and the sub) up because i'm a noobie and the inputs is not specifically labeled. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. back of pre-amp back of amp

CD output to the CD input on preamp using RCA cable "Front" output to the inputs on the amp using RCA cable Speakers connected to outputs of amp using speaker wire "Rear" output from preamp to inputs on subwoofer (which subwoofer do you have?) using RCA cable Crossover and level on sub will have to be adjusted depending mainly on what main speakers you're using.

Emotiva Ultra 12. thanks for quick reply. OK, so you can use a standard stereo RCA cable between your preamp output and your subwoofer inputs. There is no need to use any sort of special "subwoofer" cable unless you want to. Set the crossover to "on" and the frequency to about the mid position on the dial. Set the the "volume" also to about the mid position and the phase to zero. This should give you a decent starting point, depending on what you're using for main speakers.
