Great prices on accessories4less, trying to decide which model though. It seems like on most of the Onkyo receivers the 12 trigger out is assigned to Zone 2. Is there an easy workaround for that when hooking it up to an amp (UPA-7)? Depends on the model. The lower tiered models like the SR707 only has 12v out to a 2nd zone. Some of the upper tiered models have switchable triggers like the 807.

Is there an easy workaround for that when hooking it up to an amp (UPA-7)? Yes, very easy. Assuming you are not using zone 2, you just set one of the 'activities' buttons to turn the zone 2 on that will turn the UPA-7 (along with other devices you want to turn on). If you are going to use the 2nd zone, just get a receiver with 3 zones like the 808. I didn't know it was zone 2 trigger only when I got my 708 so I was a little surprised at first but this workaround makes it a non-factor.

That's kind of what it sounded like in the user's manual, but I wanted to check with someone who owns one.
