Hi. Everyone; My new ERC 1 has only been running for 24 hours but it is pretty amazing. I was told some years ago that you needed to spend 1500 bucks to get a good CDP. For me, I say nonsense, now that I have the ERC 1.
I will continue to spin it for 2 weeks and then put my Cambridge 640C V2 back in the system. I think I already know which one will stay in the system.

Ed,
Congrats on the purchase of your ERC-1. I firmly believe your ERC-1 has found a permanent spot in your music listening setup. Since installing the ERC-1 I have rediscovered my music collection. I have since retired my Denon, Oppo and Marantz CD Players because the Emotiva ERC-1 so thoroughly outperforms all of them. After two more weeks of listening to your ERC-1 you will fully understand the meaning of "Analog Bliss". ;D

Like RoadRunner, I have once again rediscovered my CD collection. My ERC-1 gets a workout about 3 to 4 hours a day during the week and even more on the weekends. It replaced a Sony ES model CDP-X111ES which I'd had since the early 1990's or so. It had lots of great features but I don't ever remember it sounding near as good as the ERC-1, or maybe it's just my updated music preferences.
