Just to be sure - you guys do know that this is not an official preorder list, and that we haven't opened one for the DAC yet, right? How 'official' would a list with just a bunch of forum usernames on it be afterall? You don't understand, the inmates run the asylum! Alrighty then.. you guys enjoy yourselves and I'll stay out of it!! ;D

I'm in for one! What's the ETA? If everything goes according to plan then production will begin running at the end of this month, which means we will see the product available some time in September

I know I'm gonna catch hell for this but I wonder how it will compare to the Beresford TC-7520 as they are in the same price range. Obvious differences are the XDA-1 has balanced/unbalanced outputs while the Beresford TC-7520 has a headphone jack.

I am sure there will be a comparison on Head-Fi soon after the release of the XDA-1.

The sound of the XDA-1 would be better still if Lonnie has not been cheating us. The XDA-1 has more inputs, can use XLR outputs, has a high end remote volume control, is Hi-Fi sized and works for inputs up to 24/192, which is the highest resolution I ever saw for material.

How 'official' would a list with just a bunch of forum usernames on it be afterall? That's why I gave both names when I started the official, unofficial list. 1) Mark James

Any body else think it's kind of strange that the remote's "volume up" button is on the left, while the "volume down" is on the right?

This special volume feature is done this way because as a digital domain device, the XDA-1 has the dimensions inversed as far as the volume control is concerned.
I am not educated enough to clarify this completely, but LOTR sure is, so you can count on him explaining this further.
;D
