Looks awesome!
Regarding the outputs, there is 1 stereo balanced and 1 stereo unbalanced, isn't there?

Nice! And all these for the grand price of ...?
Also, this is where my son connects the PC via optical out, then XDA-1 to USP-1 to UPA-5, like the following:
MPD-32 --> PC --> XDA-1 --> USP-1 --> UPA-5
Of course, PC can also mean ipod, etc., correct?

- What sample rates will be supported on the USB input?
- What sample rates will be supported on the Toslink S/PDIF, Coax Digital and the AES/EBU input?
- How much will it cost?

Sweet! Much deeper than the one in the earlier pics. 14" is the same as the ERC-1! A "killer" remote, in every sense.
The name of this section proves that DAC's really are the 21st century pre-amps! Just hook up an amp and you have audiophile bliss! Just give it some lossless files of choice and the XDA-1 will reward you with super sonics!

Very nice!
Can I put it on top of my XPA-5 or would I encounter any problems (heat) in doing so?
P.S. I don´t want a pre-order list, I want a "BUY" button asap.
Why not move all the DAC threads in this new catergory?

Can anyone speculate on the gain characteristic when the XDA-1 is combined with two XPA-1? The volume control of the old inKel pre-amp I use now (to be removed from the chain) is almost unusable. Its volume control has 10 indicator lights. If I set it to 1, it's loud enough to be intrusive during Sunday brunch (bad WAF ). If I turn on 2 lights, it's loud enough when we are outside on the terrace to overpower the passing traffic! We have to listen to a lower-than-1 light volume! So the XPA has very high gain. How will the XDA-1 interact with that. A digital-domain volume control like in the XDA-1 can be OK, but only if the volume-setting is not to low if my info is correct. Would an In-Line Attenuator be of any help? Does this not degrade the SQ? Rothwell (UK) has nice ones which reduce 10dB in both RCA and XLR form.
