4 new episodes of EmoTV about Understanding the UMC-1 Input Structure are now available on our website: emotiva.com/umcvideo3.shtmI've also set up a YouTube channel for Emotiva for those of you that would like to subscribe to us. Right now it just has these 4 videos uploaded but I will continue to add more as they are created. You can watch and subscribe here: www.youtube.com/user/EmotivaAudioAlso, most of you have probably already noticed but a couple of weeks ago I added all of Emo's social media service icons to the footer of the homepage: emotiva.com/ These are updated regularly, so I wanted everyone to have easy access to them just in case you are ever searching for news, photos, videos, etc. Sometimes you can find information on these sites that isn't on the forum, sometimes it's vice versa. Let me know if you have questions, thanks!

Rachel Will the YouTube version contain any information that won't also be available on the UMC-1's Product Page? I assume that YouTube is just an alternate source for viewing the various EmoTV topics that you produce. Correct? I would think that based on the level of confusion shown in the Lounge, the next Episode you produce should be an in-depth examination for using the "Advance Playback Modes for Audio" configuration. For example, what are the implications for using "Direct" vs "Stereo" mode for analog audio setup? ...or which audio mode would you use if you are playing a 2-channel source and want a 5.1 or 7.1 playback? ...and why would you select one mode versus another when more than one mode selection could be selected? There have been quite a few of this type of question(s) on the Lounge by UMC-1 owners. I think you get the feel for the level of detail needed for explaining usage of the Advanced Modes. Tell Uncle Freddie that his "radio face" works just fine. ;D His mellow tones hit the spot for doing the commentary for the EmoTV episodes. Is he going to have a regularly scheduled show each week? lol Next thing you know, Lounge Members will be clamoring for his autograph.

For now, the YouTube channel will not contain additional information on the UMC-1 that is not available on the product page or the EmoTV page of our site (http://emotiva.com/emotv.shtm). Moving forward this may change, for example, there may be links on the product page to the respective YouTube episode or playlist (instead of linking internally to the EmoTV page on our site). Either way, there will always be a way to access all of the videos we produce from the main Emotiva site, whether the link takes you to an external service or not. For now, though, the EmoTV page on our site and our YouTube channel will contain the same videos (with the exception of previous EmoTV episodes - starting today). I'm on a mission to make Freddie famous, so I'm sure he'll appreciate your comments He plans to continue with these how-to style episodes based off the discussions going on in the forum, so thank you for all of the recommendations. Hope this answers all of your questions ;D

great videos - but two glitches in them. In the CD hookup Fred leaves the UMC setup screen displayed while showing us the physical optical cable hookup - which is totally obscured by the menu popup.
Also, when he shows how you can go through the unused inputs and turn the visible to Off, he appears to be trying to do that, but ends up leaving it set to On as he leaves the menu. Probably not what he wanted to do to make his point.
