Just purchased an XPA-5 and was wondering if it was safe to place it on top of my SB13 ultra sub? I really don't have anywhere else to put it Will the sub cause any harm to the amp or vise versa?

It wasn't designed to be on top of something that vibrates, even slightly, but if it's your only choice, then luckily since the XPA weighs so much what I would do is dampen and isolate the XPA's feet from the top of the sub. You don't need to get too fancy, just cut up an old rubbery mouse pad. The XPAs weight will keep that rock in place forcing the mouse pad to absorb most the subtle enclosure vibrations.

Hey Mike, No room for it to the right of the sub? Could you stand it up on it's end like a computer box?? ;D

I agree with the other responses. If you have no other choice, make sure you "decouple" the amp from the sub.

make a small table with dimensions that would enable you to house the sub underneath. paint it black to match the sub. Something like this:
