What are the actual dimensions from inside standoff to standoff? I see the base is 9.25" deep. I am hoping to use this for a center speaker that is 8.5" deep. Will it fit on the standoff or is the ss-6 too deep to accomodate it?

I'm not at home now or I could measure mine for you. However, note that the SS-6 is designed specifically for the Emo ERM-6.3 and ERM-1 speakers. These are both 9.5" deep and the speakers are a perfect fit. The base itself is only 9.25" deep.
You would have a 8.5" deep speaker sitting on the stand offs which are exactly 9.5" from inside edge of each stand off. So your speakers are exactly 1" shorter. I believe they still would work but you'll have an extra 1" of space showing on the uphill (rear) stand off. Actually that probably won't look so bad. I would give Emo a call and have someone actually measure a SS-6 to see if an 8.5 speaker is deep enough to overhang the rear stand off sufficiently. Note that the Emo speakers have a slightly rounded edge and the stand off are the same shape. ;D

Thanks a ton. The center I have is a Swan D1.1sec(its actually 9" deep with the front grille on and 8.5" with it off.) If you could Id appreciate a measurement when you have time. Like how long the standoff rest areas are and the shortest distance from the front standoff to the back standoff. I dont mind the extra space as long as the speaker wont fall out of the standoffs.
I love the look of the stand so I'd really hope I could make it work.

I'm quite sure it will fit. Better yet, call Emotiva. They are very nice folks and most helpful over the phone. BTW: Welcome to the Lounge. ;D

9.25 inside from left to right, 9.50 from front to back (standoffs) 8.00 minimum from front to back, your 8.50 will work, i use a 9.00 speaker and no problem.
