Well, we and we being my wife, decided to change the family room around. I actually liked this old setup, my cables were cut to fit it perfectly. Now I need to buy new speaker wires including a sub cable (@ 30'). Where are you getting yours as I need just over 100' of speaker wire. The local places that used to carry decent bulk cable are now gone and all that is left in our town (just NW of To.) is Future Shop. My new mic should be arriving within the next week or so and I would like to run EmoQ with the UMC. Currently running Acurus amps with Paradigm Studio 20's. Will also be upgrading to the new Oppo once is it released this winter. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. Now if someone could also help me track down an electrical issue on my 72 Corvette vert. life would be even better.

You really can't go wrong with cables and wire from Monoprice.com. It's good-quality stuff for a very reasonable price.

Any of the wire in this thread would be perfectly fine. Just get the cheapest and spend the rest of your money on something that will make a difference.
That knukonceptz is fine but it's nothing other than the same wire everybody else used with a different outer jacket. It's not better or worse than any of the others on the thread.

One thing to think about when using cheaper wire or even Home Depot wire is that if the wire is not sealed it will oxidize and that may impact the performance of the wire and therefore your sound quality. Granted, it took about 4 years for my first set of Home Depot wire to turn Kelly Green and about 6 years for the last set so if you're thinking of replacing your wire before then it shouldn't matter.

Ordered from Knukoncepts and arrived in 4 days! Under the heading of I'm an idiot the previous cable had 4 individual strands in it for bi-wiring the Studio 20's and the cc. When I wired them all up I forgot and only hooked up the drivers and not the tweaters and of course sounded like crap. To make matters worse I ran EMO-Q without even testing the system. Damn it produced some wacked settings for the front 3 speakers. Didn't have anytime to spend on it over the wknd but was off today where I figured out what I did - all's good again and thoroughly enjoying the HT again.
