I ordered a XPA-5 and was impressed from the time I took it out of the box to now with quite a few initial hours of use! I like the look for starters! Sound is very smooth with a slightly laid back presentation. No hum or other issues like a few others are reporting. If I was going to be a little nit picky about anything it would be the RCA inputs. They are a little on the cheap side. The speaker connector are very nice. If you need 200 watts by 5 then get one! ;D

Yeah, right on! * Me too, I like professional RCA jacks, you know, the type that have an hexagonal screw to hold them tight in place; just like our old car radios used to have those to hold the Volume control knob and Tuning control knob in place. Yap, I'm all for those type of RCA jacks, but then there are the XLR jacks!

Look at my High End Solid Brass Speaker Binding posts on the back of my pair of Kavent P-2200 Pure Class A Monoblocks. The RCA input is just like the one in the previous photo,

Every connection & component is important but would a cheaper RCA connection vs. a more expensive connection really impact SQ to any noticable degree? ?? Or is the issue that the cable might become loose over time which of course could impact SQ................ ;D

I don't mean to harp on Emo, but I would really like to see some better speaker terminals on their amps. Everything about my XPA-5 feels and looks like high quality, until you get to the speaker terminals. They're not bad, but it just seems like they should have better, considering that it's an X series amp. It doesn't seem like it would raise the price much at all.

The db level of me screaming would probably be louder than the db level of the music when it broke off!!!! ;D

Actually, high end speaker posts are quite expensive. Its a lot like the situation with cables. People are deluded into thinking that more expensive means better "performance" which of course inflates their price. The UPA-5 has even cheaper speaker posts.

Oh yeah, I know that expensive speaker posts don't sound any better, but it's just nice to see nice(er) ones on an amp. Just some decent metal ones would be nice is all. Small nitpick.
