Is this still a product under consideration?
Would love to see MPA & XDA in same housing like what Peachtree Audio is doing....
Thanks.

Is this still a product under consideration? I often wonder this very same thing... ;D Is it still "in the works"?

The MPA (Mighty Power Amp) is the long await replacement to the old BPA-1. It is Emotiva's low power, low priced stereo power amp. I think Lonnie said that it would be about 60 Watts into 8 Ohms. About 6 months ago, it was mentioned they were looking to work it into the production schedule for late 2010 introduction. At Emofest, this year, it was listed as one of the upcoming products currently in the pipeline, but I don't recall seeing anything since then. If memory serves me, they intend to sell it for around $160. The MPA may have been delayed a bit due to the huge demand to buy Emotiva's new DAC, the XDA-1. As Cathy mentioned in yesterday's podcast, Emotiva has tasked the factory to quadruple the production on the XDA-1. It seems the first shipment is already "pre-sold" just from those who signed up for the pre-order list. Emotiva did say that they would have a few surprises in store for us for year-end releases. Maybe the MPA is one of those surprises. ;D ;D One last thing, in the back of my mind, I think Emonatics.com has a little piece of info on its web site about the MPA. Well, that is a complete "core dump" of my memory concerning the MPA.
