I received my new XPA-3 last Friday and hooked it up over the weekend. Lo and behold the small center channel blue led at the top does not light up. Is that common for new Emotiva amps? It's rather disappointing to have such a small flaw right out of the box. It works fine otherwise. I double checked all connections but no luck. I'm not interested in taking the cover off just to check it out.

Are you talking about the light that turns from amber in standby to blue at power up OR the power 'wattage output' lights.
Either way I would want it to work and I'm sure EMO will make it right (based on my experience, mine was a shipper's issue).
I RARELY see even the first or second output light as my speakers are too efficient.

the fifth LED light on the right channel of my XPA-2 does not light up also.
i wonder if the leds are easily replacable?
ive been to busy to follow through on a solution... honestly i was waiting for someone else to post the same issue, so i could troll in.
i dont want to pay 150$ shipping RMA for such an issue, but on that note, i like active LED's.

Had a similar issue on a new XPA 3, but mine was a blinking blue LED light. They sent me over a replacement bulb which i soldered in but the blue was a different shade. In the end i requested a new board which i plugged in and now works fine.
I highly suggest the board swap as the first option as i opened and closed my amp maybe 10 times for testing etc and the screws and receptacles are starting to show it. not good for a piece that gets plenty of eye time from visitors.
The process of replacement was a bit slow from Emotiva (i had to do some chasing), but the Emotiva heart was in the right place which i appreciated. I have since ordered a couple of more amps from them. they should arrive this weekend and fingers crossed will work right out of the box.
