Will it be possible to connect headphones to the 2 RCA outputs of the XDA-1?

You should be able to because of the built in volume control. However, the XDA would be capable of a lot of current on the output, so it would be capable of way overdriving your headphones, assuming they are low impedance headphones (the most common ones, high end ones often have a much higher impedance and are harder to drive). A lot depends on how the volume control is setup on the XDA and this is not yet public knowledge. If the volume control defaults back to 100% everytime it is turned or if it remembers its last setting would be a big deal to a headphone user as you wouldn't want a blast of music to damage your phones or your hearing.

Hi - sorry to bring back an old thread, but I wanted to see if this works for anybody else.
I have the XDA-1 hooked to my PC via Optical for now. My normal setup is balanced out to my Rotel amp. This works great.
I tried using headphones out of the RCA outputs and the output is so low.. I turned the volume all the way up and its still very low.
This is with the Denon AH-D1100 Headphones.
Thoughts? I may just have to buy another headphone amp.
