I'm not using mine anywhere at the moment...but I've had them hooked up where my Thiel 3.6's are...being driven by a $6300.00 ,100 watt per channel pure class A Threshold amp. With a pair of Velodyne F1500R's handling the bass below 80 hz, they actually sounded quite good.

I had used them in the small audio system I had in my office for several years and they worked very nicely in that application. They created a nice room filling sound.

And the surround of that driver is made of foam, and not rubber!
But who cares anyway? Because when that foam surround is gone, I'll put some new drivers in them!
Or I'll simply make them new rubber surrounds myself!
Hey, for $60 a piece and not bad sound at all, what's to really complaint about?
Just think about it for a sec: High Tech Linaeum tweeter, die cast enclosure, 5-way brass gold plated binding posts, and a mid/woof driver for free!

Those are identical to my Radio Shack ones..identical....right down to the label on the back. Here are mine:

I have a more recent pair, bought at Radio Shack in about 2003, but with an RCA badge. Yellow kevlar cone woofer, oblong front ports. I use them as nearfield surrounds and they are quite good for that application.

I think these speakers from Sonic Integrity should be mentioned as a worthwile deal. I bought these from Mr.Ben some time ago and they sound really nice. When I had an outdoor party and used these speakers to play music everyone was surprised at how good they sounded. For $80 plus shipping they are hard to beat IMO.
