Geebo, you should start a "photo 101" thread. You obviously have some serious talent dude! I also have a D300, but I don't really know squat about photography, so any good shots I have taken with it, have purely been from luck, and experimentation lol. I just got it because I got a big disability back pay check a few years ago, and wanted a killer camera lol Thanks for the kind words, Pauly. I've since sold my D300 to get a full frame D700 but at times I still miss the 300 especially the longer "reach" afforded by the cropped sensor. An excellent camera!

Good bokeh! (fwiw, thats the out of focus background - nice and smooth.) If it was the 10.5mm fisheye, that is a super lens. I had to sell mine because it doesn't cover the full frame sensor that I have now. But it sure was a fun lens!

I once had a Carver hiss remover and dynamic range expander in the early '80s if I remember right. It colored the sound quite a bit. I picked up used. One day though smoke appeared. That was the end of that.

I've got a Sony a850, a full frame. I love it, especially the great optical viewfinder and its extreme resolution. I'm waiting for a Tamron 90mm macro to come in the mail. I also have the CZ 24-70 f/2.8 and the CZ 135 f/1.8. The 135 is an especially good lens, sharp in the corners even at 1.8.

Why do you discuss cameras in this thread?

Why do you discuss cameras in this thread? Sometimes we have a hard time staying on topic.

I actually like the look with the original trim. But thats me... Well serious answer here, I took the trim off of all my Emo gear and just left the chrome screws in the corners. I think that way looks the classiest. Something about that silver trim just bothers me. we agree on something! But as soon as I round out my Emotiva gear with the XSP-1 I'll get someone to flush mount the screws so I don't have these stupid looking screws clearly sticking out from the face of the gear.

It's less of a problem with black screws.
