Used at $285.00 was a great deal but the best deal was when i hooked it up and started to listen. I will compare the ERC-1 to a cheap Sony bluray player. I listened to more then 10 CD's (i'll talk about a couple), player each in the Sony first then the ERC-1. I started off with Journeys Greatest Hits and man do i love that album. I always thought it sounded great in my Sony but as soon as i popped it in my ERC-1 a new dimension was apparent. The clarity and dynamic range was crazy! On to more bass. I listened to Dr. Dre Chronic 2001 album. The bass was so much smoother then the Sony, less muddy. Finally i had a burnt CD with Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber (legally downloaded), which i believe is one of the most beauitful pieces of music every made. I didn't think any would improve because it was downloaded off of itunes but just like the other CD's it sounded more clear and amazing All in all i am extremley happy with my ERC-1. I wasn't able to place the ERC-1 where i wanted because of my tv stand. The shelfs don't have much clearance between them. BLUE LIGHTS

BLUE LIGHTS Good to hear, I will be getting an ERC-1 for Christmas and cant wait, I also will keep my Sony 400 disc CD player as storage and a transport. 285.00 is a great price, love to see happy people using the equipment they own. Enjoy.

I was in the same boat. I got an ERC-1 and now CD's don't even get close to my Sony BD. The difference is very worthwhile.

Do you guys like the naked look? I actually like the look with the original trim. But thats me... Well serious answer here, I took the trim off of all my Emo gear and just left the chrome screws in the corners. I think that way looks the classiest. Something about that silver trim just bothers me.

Do you guys like the naked look? Yes, of course, if its a woman. I do like the naked look, I have the silver trim pieces removed and just screwed the screws back in, I will be getting some black button head screws to replace the screws that came with the equipment later.

I love the naked look on Emo gear. Congrats on the ERC-1. I am dying to hear one of these... Speaking of naked Emo gear, what is the screw head type for the trim pieces? I am not much of a mechanic and I do not want to use the incorrect thing and strip the heads on mine.

I am not much of a mechanic and I do not want to use the incorrect thing and strip the heads on mine. It uses an allen or hex wrench - metric sizing, but I don't remember the exact size. Just try some until you find one that fits. ;D

My brother has a M1.5t and a TFM-55. They have both been restored and are killer amplifiers. I own a Carver C-1 preamp and TX-11a tuner. Like them a lot. Very solid pieces.
Will you be doing a comparison review between the M1.0t and the UPA-1's? I would be very interested in your thoughts.
By the way, you've got a very nice looking system.
