Best room treatments are the ones you make yourself. If you have a Michael's or a Joanne Fabrics(or any crafts store)near you all you need to do is buy ANY generic foam sheet, the fabric of your choice, and go to loowes grab some 1x2" stock, make some square or rectangular frames(or anything you can think of), then staple the foam sheet(density really doesn't matter as much as some will state)to the frame and then cover and stable with your choice of cloth fabric. If you want "bass traps" just cover the front of the panel frame with some plywood and double or triple up the foam stapled into it and then make sure the panel is mounted with 6-8" off the wall. Voila! Simple yet functional bass trap.

I have three of the ATS panels. Totaled about $200. Best investment I've made other than Emotiva. One of the panels is 2'x4' 2" thick, one 2'x4' 4" thick without wooden back (for corner use) and one 2'x4' 4" thick with wooden back. I shopped around and as far as I know was the cheapest route other than DIY. Agreed. I use the ATS products and they are not only cheap, they are very well-made.
