i am in need of a 20 ft trigger cable to run from my umc to my xpa-5 located in another part of the living room. i have found none on line such as radio shack, monoprice, parts express etc...... that fit the bill. all available 'long' cables are stereo and not mono. has anyone used a stereo cable for said purposes and had success with them used as a trigger cable? tchaik........................... well....... i went over to radio shack and bought another 6 ft mono 3.5mm cable with two adapters and added it to my two extra trigger cables from emo and "voila" not "viola" it now works swimmingly. tchaik

I have used a stereo cable successfully for triggering although it was not 20 ft. The point is that it worked fine. I remember thinking at the time that if it didn't, I would just short the 2 terminals at each end and that'd make it mono! Or replace the ends with mono connectors.

Additionally, you could also daisy-chain via extension cables to get the length you need.

All my triggers are are stereo and have daisy chained them with a splitter so I can run 2 amps.
