It is not possible to run a turntable through an XDA-1. TAhe XDA-1 only accepts digital signals, and turntables are analog.

I got 3 sources, Duet squeeze box, ERC-1 & turntable connected to my Nad C326BEE & using the pre-outs of my Nad connected to XPA-3 for my front speakers. When I get the XDA-1 I will run that directly to my XPA-3 but it looks like I will lose my turntable for a little bit until I can buy the new XPS-1.

The best way to enjoy pure minimalist digital sources is via a DAC with with volume control, like the XDA-1. But you need a traditional pre-amp for the TT. If you put that in the chain, you loose the minimalist purity. The only way to get around this is to use both types of inputs of the XPA-3: the XLR from the XDA-1 and the RCA from the pre-amp. But you need to be able to reach the switches on the back of the amp to select the proper type of input. A bit annoying. Calling Emotiva to put those switches on the front!.

Yes, of course this approach of using both XLR & RCA would work. I would say that the selector switches on the back of the amps are not designed for long duty cycles. Not sure if they would withstand regular switching back and forth.
