will the XDA-1 be shipping free or will there be shipping cost? there was no mention of shipping cost when you first reserve it. Thanks

There was no shipping charge when I paid for my XDA-1 a couple of weeks ago. Emotiva had said that during the "Holiday Sale" all products would include free shipping.

I used my emobucks and Janna told me it would be $199 but I forgot to ask about shipping. That would be an even more awesome deal if shipping was included! I added the Emo polo shirt to my Amazon wish list (since now you can add products from pretty much any web site). My wife looked at that and said, $35 for a polo shirt??? Forget it.

Shipping on the XDA-1 is free right now. Otherwise it would have been included in the total we were quoted over the phone. I'm hoping as per their estimate that they'll start going out early next week. Janna at time of order: "…shipping at the end of the month."

What are you boys whining. I paid USD 127.99 for shipping to South Africa. You see, I am the true believer, no word from me. Hendrik J.

I paid 80$ for shipping, which to me is a fart in space compared to what I'm getting. And with the dollar being so low I can't complain

"Flatulence is the expulsion through the rectum of a mixture of gases that are byproducts of the digestion process of mammals and other animals." ;D

Sweden? Germany? South Africa? You people make me look like a whiner, I'm from Canada. Actually I dont' have my orders shipped to Canada, since I live 10 minutes from the US border. I have them sent to a shipping store in a US border town that holds Canadian orders. Then I drive across and pick it up myself, I only have to pay 12% for Canadian taxes.
My hats off to you guys across the water.

Why when there is Free shipping in the US oversea does not get an equal discount on the shipping cost to the amount of the US shipping fee? Would this not be fair to the loyal Emotiva customers around the world that help to made the brand known worldwide?

How do you know that Emotiva doesn't discount the shipping costs an amount equal to what the US fees would be? I don't know whether they do or don't, but it is entirely possible that they do and you just don't know about it. International shipping costs tend to be very expensive and even with a discount they would still be exorbitant. Just be sure of your facts before thinking you are getting the short end of the stick.

The dream scenario would be for Emotiva to open a shipping office in the European Union. I end up adding $127 for shipping+import tax on the XDA-1, and its even worse for the more expensive emo products. I could live with a multi-month long delivery time, if it could mean china->EU shipping, and only having to pay import tax for the first EU country the goods enter.
