Great work!! That looks as good as any high end faceplate I've seen! Man, wish we had that option with Emotiva.

WoW!!! Those are simply stunning! Very, very nice job indeed. I do believe you could have a second career making Emotiva face plates. I am not even kidding. You couldn't make them fast enough to keep them in stock I assure you.

Wow dude!! ...that's look <expletive> awesome!! ...Very nice work
Becuase yer boss is'nt letting you mass produce, do you have a CAD/CNC file to replicate what you've done? ...And if so.... ;D ....would you be willing to share the love? ...I'd hand the file to our tool maker at work
Also wondering, does it scratch/mark very easily?
Again, lovin yer work ;D Shane

Took me 10 minutes to get it. And as for sending you a CAM/CAD file. My work locks the servers tightly because of patent and copy right issues with some of the products we manufacture. So it's not really possible

Oh Kiwi, You asked if it scratches or marks easily. The faceplates i made out of aluminum which is a softer metal and will scratch. Materials like stainless will be very hard to scratch. Unless i have parties everyday with 100+ people in here, i don't think they will ever get scratched

So i will be machining a faceplate for the UMC-1 very soon. Any ideas? I will have to take the faceplate off the chassis to measure all the button locations and things. Wonder if this will void the warranty??

Well I've received the set's of trim pieces from Matt that are on the front page of this thread!!! Absolutely stunning, these give my Emotiva gear a completely new classy look. The trim pieces that come on the Emotiva gear looks good, but Matt's stainless steel trim definitely take it up a few notches! Now all I need is a set for my XPA-5 and my home theater setup will all be matching. I'll take pictures this weekend and put them in this thread. Thanks Matt, and you can consider my order for an XPA-5 pair as placed when ever you get time, if you're still willing. You've got a PM!!!

Wow people on the Emotiva forum actually admiring a silver faceplate? I am shocked. I have been asking for these directly from Emo and posting on the forum about this forever. All the responses I got equated to "Eh never gonna happen" or "We don't want no stinkin' silver".
Nice job kid. Since you won't make these for anyone else but yourself, maybe Emo will take notice and offer silver faceplates as an accessory for their products. I know I would be shopping for much more Emo products if I could get a silver faceplate on there.
More options, more customers!
