Just got mine today and ran it through it's paces in my first configuration as follows:
MacBook Pro, optical out (emo cable of course) to the XDA, straight-wired to my XPA-2 and then to my Magnepan MMG's.
I sample 50+ songs from my iTunes library from a variety of musical styles and the whole system performed great. My usual setup is an Oppo bdp-83 to a Parasound 2100 to my Maggies and to my Klipsch Sub 12, so my comparison was a little tough with the significantly less bass playing through the Maggies only. That said the clarity, soundstage and pinpoint accuracy of all the instruments and voices was amazing.
My next test tomorrow will to route through my preamp to pull in the sub, or to hook up my very old but still nice sounding Fuselier 3.8BS speakers as they are more full range.

If they do let me know. I called today to see if all the ones on the next order (due in soon) were spoken for and they said yes; as well as the next couple orders as well. I dropped the hint that I had Emo-bucks that I wished I could put toward it and they didn't mention that I could.  |

Ok that settles it! I'm Ordering it. Hope they will let me use my Emo Bucks! I was able to use the emo bucks for my xda preorder... though I canceled the order last week. |

Mine is coming tomorrow, and I'm racking my brain trying decide how to work it in my system... probably the same way I used my old d/a converter...
squeezebox>d/a.converter>USP1>XPAamp
Got to have that bass management...

I was able to use my emo bucks on the XDA, it shouldn' tbe a problem for anyone else. Just call to make sure since I think that is the only way it can be applied. |
