USB sound quality

Has anyone tried 16/44 files from pc (usb) to avr or amp?
very curious as to how xda might compare to other usb dacs like Dacmagic, Stereolink, Vdac, etc. I'm playing 16/44 files from pc (usb) to stereolink to Onkyo 905.Everything I read about xda leads me to believe its better than all the above,but all the chatter revolves around the toslink connection or with usb - the 24/192 and propriety drivers etc. Would one of you lucky owners try the usb connection from pc to xda to amp or avr and let me know what you think?.Starving for some definitive usb input.

In my main system I use Optical and preferred it to the USB. In my 2 channel room I USB without issue though as the DAC I currently have in there is USB only. I just got the XDA-1 and plan to compare it and my other DAC's in the next few days. I will compare USB and then compare it to optical. I went to my local dealer to see if I could borrow a DAC Magic, but he didn't have any in the store.
