Anyone have any idea (Emo would be the best to know) when we might see some professional XDA-1 reviews? I know that the amplifiers are common sights on some professional review sites like Secrets and Audioholics, but the UMC has yet to make an appearance anywhere as far as I know. I hope the XDA will not suffer the same fate.
I would really like to know how it stacks up against other nice DACs (that I don't own).

I'd like to see Stereophile do measurements on it. They have been doing much more testing and listening of DAC's and music servers recently.

True. Early words here make it sound like a great product for a great price. Ineviably when the first pro review hits the net or mag pages...there will be the "sounds great for the price but not as refined or mature of a sound as insert overpriced high-end dac here". I can't wait to get mine and compare.
I am still of the opinion a quality dac does not have to cost >$2K and be hand-made to make your speakers sing.
