Alrighty then ;D
Just looking for suggestions. I have the following: Sony SCD 333ES SACD player USP-1 pre XDA-1 UPA-1 monos
Alesis digital recorder and a panasonic DCD-A player. Apple Airport express feeding music from a server (AIFF files)
Sony SL1000 turntable.
Whats the best way to hook up the XDA-1, right now I have it inbetween the digital sources and pramp using the regular connecters.

This has me wondering as well....
Can I connect a digital source to the XDA-1, then connect the unbalanced outputs on the XDA-1 to my 6/8 input on my AVR (FL and FR of course)? Would the receiver down res the signal from 192k to 96k or leave it unmolested? I have an external amp connected to the AVR pre-outs as well.
I'm trying to figure out a way to use an XDA-1 with my existing AVR, speakers and amp.
Thanks!

The digital source connected to the XDA is being converted to analog by the XDA, so you are feeding an analog signal to the AVR, it could not 'down res' it as it is analog.

I hooked mine up laaaaaate last night, by sending the digital outputs (optical & coaxial) from my ERC-1 & BDP-93 to the XDA-1 digital inputs and then from the XDA-1's outputs to my USP-1. So far I couldn't be happier with the results.

Thanks iceman, makes perfect sense. I was thinking too hard..or not hard enough. Glad that is the case so I can still use my existing setup.

well i need to go make up some balanced cables now...but with the output attenuation issues I think maybe using with an external attenuator or thru my USP-1 (currently on loan) might be the way to go
