The $40 is for the dongle, the app is free and you can build screens without the dongle. Version 3 is due out soon with major improvements.

That's nice. How does it work? I mean does it work good? Also, does it work with other devices?

I am using iRuleathome.com ... more expensive but able to work thru walls even from another country I am told... this will be my way forward for IR ... can put on up to 8 clients... so my wife will never complain about what remote is where...its on yr phone dear... and I can put all the standard buttons on one panel for all the things she uses

So what happens when you both have iPhones and want to control things, is there a "master" unit? Is it able to save the state between controllers?

Xyz1:
I like it. There are a few bugs I hope are fixed in Ver 3. This was the second product I tried. The first was one call Red-Eye which was terrible.
Ratmice:
No IR remote that I know of supports syncing between multiple remotes. Just the nature of IR, it’s a one-way street.
