I emailed Emotiva but I was wanting some other peeps opinions as well.
What would be the best amp to go with
Front L/R = Klipsch RF-7II Pre Amp = Integra DHC-80.2 Sub = HSU VTF-15H I will be going with a 5.1 or 7.1 set up in the near future but for now I am just going to set up my 2 Ch. I am 50/50 on my Music listing to HT. I was thinking XPA-1 (X 2) or XPA-2
(And in the future XPA-5) Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

The XPA-2 should be plenty and will complement your eventual addition of the XPA-5. Could also consider a pair of UPA-1s.

I think an XPA 2 would be great for what you are doing. I doubt you;d ever see the peak rms wattage to those speakers anyways, i mean, thats loud haha. None the less, its perfect to have that overhead power. 2 XPA-1 would really overkill IMO, i dont think you'd benefit at all from having so much extra horsepower under the hood.
I'd only buy the 2 xpa-1's if i had the money and didnt care about prices and was making a really need custom steup with nice amp stands and really making it a center piece of my listening room.

I would get my XPA-5 first and set up your 5.1 and then run 2 channel to see( hear ) what 200 wpc will do for you. Then if it's plenty, great , if not you will still have lots of options. Also, will you be wanting a fully quad ,differential balanced 2 channel? If so, mono blocks are in your future.. If you stay with 5.1 later you can use 2 channels from the XPA-5 for zone 2 or your ready for 7.1 with the addition of monos or 2 channel amp if your not going fully balanced for the 2 channel system. I'm just poking around with questions to see where you want to go with your end game without wasting your money.. I look forward for your reply. Peace, Nick
