I have a buttkicker (bass shaker) and will be getting a JL audio F113 subwoofer. The JL Audio has balanced sub input. Instead of putting a Y-rca cable from the USP1 unbalanced connection to feed both the buttkicker and the F113, I was thinking of using the USP1 balanced sub-out (XLR) to the F113 and the unbalanced (RCA) towards the buttkicker. However, I'm not sure if both are active at the same time and if they can be use simultaneously.
thanks.

I'm 99% sure they are both always active. On my UMC-1 both are active

Both sub connectors are live full time, so your plans would be perfect. The USP-1 sub output is buffered; and, if you wanted, you can run four sub woofers off of each without impacting its performance. You will have no probllems with what you are trying.

Up to 4 sub... ho ho ho.... more upgrade opportunities. Thanks all for confirming this. I appreciate it. Now time to get XLR cables.
