Do I need the XDA-1?

Been to a local testing gig organised by 'Wizardofoz', together with louco 73 & Roy recently. The finding have been posted by louco 73 but for me I did not find adding the XDA-1 have any significant improvement over my existing setup which is using the ERC-1 & the internal dac which is similar to the XDAs'.
Just wondering have anyone do this : ERC-1 - XDA-1 balanced out direct into the XPA-1? Appreciate for any feedbacks
