Why?
There is unnecessary conversion. It is already analog so I see no sense in converting it to digital just to convert it back to analog.

USB turntables do exist and are popular for some reason. They are only popular so people can take their old albums and convert them to a digital format for use in computers, pmp's, etc.

Yes, to record vinyl to your computer. If your not going to use it for that purpose then I don't see any reason to use one.

USB turntables do exist and are popular for some reason. You must have seen today's Woot. If I still owned any vinyl there is no way I'd ever let that little POS Ion turntable touch it! But as has been said, using one of those cheap USB turntables to send a signal to a DAC is a little like trying to build a steak out of hamburger.
