Just wondering those of you that have both the USP-1 and UMC-1 that use a Logitech Harmony remote how you set both units up.
I've only had a quick go but when trying to set it up to turn on the UMC-1 and then the USP-1 etc to get the whole system working for HT purpose I have trouble getting it to power up the USP-1.
When adding the USP-1 as a device it see's it as a amp for me even though I select receiver?

Under USP-1 in the device menu, then learn IR. You can teach the Harmony remote commands. Like power on and power off.
Are you using a trigger wire from the UMC to the USP?

Mine also shows as an amp but works fine. You may need to update the UMC-1 through troubleshooting. Harmony creates a copy of your current UMC-1 and updates the code so you can easily go back if you need to.
After that all you need to do is add the USP-1 to any activities that need it on.

I always teach from the actual remote, I never really trust the database. No trigger wire's used except to trigger amps

Did that too, UMC-1 side of things works fine just the USP-1 isn't powering up during the process. Will have another play with the settings later today. Just had a quick go and it seems the USP-1 just as a device isn't responding to the power toggle command. So I think thats the issue, going to have to try re-mapping that command again for some reason. All sorted, for some reason it wouldn't use the power toggle command and wanted to use the database power on and power off commands. Simple fix was telling it (learning) the standby button (on/off toggle) was infact the on button and the off button as it for some reason wouldn't use the toggle on/off command. Simple but dang frustrating lol, least it's working now.

I have a Harmony 700, and I notice that sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Sometimes in shutting down my system, selected components won't shut off and other times they do. Ditto but opposite on startups. And, it's not limited to 1 device...sometimes it's the UMC-1 that does not respond, other times it's my projector, other times it's my DVD player.
I can't figure out why it does this...

Not normally had a issue like that, have you tried giving a fraction more time for some of the power up/down commands?
