Just got a shipment of Emo Accessories and opened up both the ET-3 trigger boxes to find all STEREO 3.5mm trigger cables... anyone else had this? I thought all the trigger cables needed to be mono.

I have tried to use stereo cables but they do not work. They have to be mono to work properly.

Vincent just emailed me re this and will they will be sending out some replacement mono cables to me..
As always Emotiva after sales service is top notch. At least for any any issues I have had.
Important fo anyone else who may have purchased the ET-3's lately - this looks like a supply issue so check your cables are the mono type.

I've used stereo with mine also with no problems. It definitely depends on the gear. When i had my UMC-1 it would accept stereo cables but my Integra will not work properly unless i use mono cables.

I have used both mono and stereo with Emo gear. Both work on any of the Emo gear I have tried. Many Lounge members have reported using stereo on all of their gear without incident.
If you already have a trigger cable try it. There is a good chance it will work... regardless of mono vs stereo. If it does NOT work then get the mono trigger at Radio Shack or your favorite cable dealer.

Thank you *very* much for the link to the Russound 12v triggered outlet. I have been trying to figure out how to trigger my old NHT sub amp which does not have a 12 volt trigger. The Russound unit looks like a cleaner/better solution than using a "smart" power bar. Cheers, Deral
