I just picked up a great deal on some used PC-1s to be used as my side surrounds! When I get them I'm going to use them for my fronts for a listening test to make sure they're ok. I've seen reviews that use 5 of these and their sub for HT applications. I'm sure they won't sound as good as my PC-3s but I'm sure they'll work fine for surrounds. I am just surprised that more people aren't into the PC series from Phase Tech as they give most other speakers in their price range a serious run for their money.

Speaking for myself...I had never even heard of Phase Tech until this forum. There are no dealers in the Indianapolis area (at least none that keep a store front) and I've had no opportunity to hear any. Might be showing my ignorance too much with that statement but I am what I am. Looking at the website they have some interesting designs that are not necesarily "mainstream".

I hear that a lot on this forum. It seems that they don't have a lot of dealerships any more. When I called them to find a shop that carried their products so that I could consider a set of PC-9 towers they said that there wasn't a shop that carried their products for a 200 mile radius of Nashville, TN. These are truly fantastic speakers for the money. I recently put my PC-3 series up against B&W's CM9 series and mine sounded better; fuller and clearer than the CM9s. What's more is that MSRP (full price) for the PC-3.5 (current iteration of my speakers; same but slightly different) are about $300 less per speaker! The "street price" of a PC-3.5 is about half.
My surprise is that most of the people on this forum have or have had (or are thinking about getting) Emotiva equipment which is Internet Direct. That means that they likely have never laid ears on Emotiva equipment before buying it; only reading reviews and word of mouth. I don't understand why the same pioneering spirit that drives people to purchase Internet Direct for their amps and speakers and such won't or don't give Phase Tech a listen. Even thought they are not an Internet Direct company you can find their products, new, on line for street price.

These speakers should be in this morning! I can hardly wait. I'm going to put them up front for a little bit to make sure they work (seller says they do; trust but verrify). While they're doing their thing I'm going to be getting them ready to install.

Stiehl, pm me sometime, i'm in the greater Nashville area too and would like to check out your speakers if u don't mind. Hifi Buys also now has the GoldenEar speaker line in house which I'm anxious to check out as well. I've always liked Sandy Gross' speakers in the past.

Holy cow!!! These aren't the second coming but wow do they sound good! I'm going to see if I can't find more like these. I can see building a bedroom setup with speakers like this with a couple UPA-1s and a USP. I almost feel bad using these as surround speakers.

Might be showing my ignorance too much with that statement but I am what I am. Looking at the website they have some interesting designs that are not necesarily "mainstream". If you're interested in hearing these and other Phase Tech (or Induction Dynamics) speakers you can give a call to 888-PHASE-TK and they can help you find a dealer in your area (if there is one). Else you're going to have to find someone like me that has them in their system and give a listen to them like that. You can get Phase Tech speakers online for a "reasonable" price brand new. I can tell you they really came "alive" with my XPA-5 and are unreal with my XPA-2. I caution that there doesn't seem to be many dealers around, which makes me wonder how they stay in business. That might explain the almost tripple price the PC-3.5 is from my PC-3. Then again, being that my PC-3 spanked the B&W CM9s at $1600 ($300 more than the MSRP for the PC-3.5) maybe they'd be foolish to sell them for less than they are?
