Good afternoon. I'm using an Onkyo SR876 receiver and was looking for a couple cooling ideas. I know coolerguys have of options, but I'm needing some help understanding how to connect the fans. I've seen many computer fans such as these available at Staples and other stores, but I dont know the easiest way to connect them to my receiver: www.coolerguys.com/840556092032.htmlI've seen adapters such as these, not sure if there is an easier way though: www.coolerguys.com/840556087977.htmlI'm looking for a very simple, yet cost-effective solution. I've also seen usb connections, but I would prefer something else if possible. Any ideas/recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I made my own adapter out of an unused 12v wall wart and a 4 pin molex connector from some old computer parts.

ive used an old cellphone charger plugged into the "switched" outlet on the AVR's, and splice in a couple 120mm 12vdc PC fans..... but not in that order:)
wiring series will slow the rpm's (silent mode) wiring them in parallel doubles the rpm's (super air flow mode)

Staples usually carries several different Laptop Cooler/Fan devices, and often clears them from stock at reduced prices. I picked up a pair recently for just $19 ea and have them sitting atop my warmer components.

I bought a couple of packages from coolerguys (via amazon). Since my receiver does not have a place to plug in the fans, I bought their fan package that senses high temps and turns on the fans automatically. They are so quiet, I had to put my hand back behind them to be sure that they were on (my cable box runs extemely hot and without the fans I had to put it on top of my stand, now it stays in the stand with no issues).
