Can the XDA-1 be used as a Digital preamplifier and DAC (attached to a controller) at the same time? This would require the XLR outputs, and the unbalanced outputs to be hooked up at the same time to different inputs (e.g, amp, and controller).

Both the XLR and rcanoutputs have the same signal output at any one time

There's really no such thing as a "digital preamp". This is a messy way of saying a DAC and a preamp.
If you were using the DAC for one source, all you'd have left is the (analog) preamp. Not sure why you'd want to run a digital source to the XDA to a preamp and a separate analog source to the XDA...might as well get 2 XDAs, or a receiver with a second "zone".

Reason is I am using an A/B switch between two pre-amps/ one is two channel analog pre-amp (Parasound P3) and the other is a digital surround controller (Parasound C2).
